I simply have to ask why in GOD'S name would an officer kill a 12lb. Dog, 12lbs. and why would he do it in front of kids?...I mean that is absolutely unbelievable!!! I am sending prayers to this family and I'm especially praying that their child somehow one day can get past the trauma he endured!!

FIRE the cop that killed the small 12 pound terrier. He shot the dog killing it violently in front of kids. That is grounds for termination.

Too bad their is no "0" option - This is disgusting - Louisiana Deputy shoots, kills 12 pound family dog!!! One could NOT get more Pathetic, Lowlife, Disgusting Human who could actually kill a 12 POUND puppy in front of their child!!! SHAME on your Deputy - He needs to find another job! This is Viral and will continue all over Social Media!!!!!!

Deputy Ardoin should be fired for blowing off the head of a 12 pound dog in front of the family and child the dog belonged to. Then for him to complain about the cost of the bullet was like a kick in the face. No law enforcement agency can afford to keep officers on the force who make such poor judgments. No one believes that little dog posed a danger to the deputy. The deputy obviously cares nothing about the community he serves. You will find that this deputy abuses his power in other ways. He’s a liability. I’ve been in animal rescue for over 15 years. I know the behavior of dogs. Anyone in law enforcement needs to be educated and trained in dog behavior and how to handle dogs they encounter in non lethal ways.

They shoot little tiny dogs around 10 lbs. evacuee they think they’re super scary. Pretty pathetic if you ask me
